when he woke up this morning he picked up the news
and flipped thru the pages to find something good
but he laughed when he saw there was nothing at all
crawled back inside to make sense of the madness of things that were on his mind

said, "today's gonna be the day that I leave this town
fly away and never come down"

so he packed up his bags and he flew far from home
looking for lifeforms on any new planet
but alas all he found were just planets of gas
planets of rocks and all those other things
that could never make a home

so he backed up his craft and proceeded to laugh
said, "I guess this is why things always seems bad"
